Advanced Learner Loans (ALL) and Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) transfer courses

We recently contacted you regarding levels 4 to 6 courses currently in scope for ALL that are transferring to LLE.

You can now find learning aims offered under the LLE on GOV.UK. If you're registered with the Office for Students (OfS) you can only offer these transfer courses through the LLE from 1 January 2027. If you’re not registered with the OfS, you can only offer the courses on the transfer list through ALL until academic year 2029/30.

Please note that all providers will only be able to deliver the learning aims on the LLE transfer list from 1 January 2027. This applies whether or not you're registered with OfS. There's information about learning aim eligibility on GOV.UK. If you cannot find the answer to your query you can email LLE.TEAM@education.gov.uk.

Attendance confirmations for AY 2025/26

As we near the end of the academic year, it's important to clear down your attendance worklist. This allows for the payment or claw back of fees where appropriate.

Please check the Payment Instalment Report (PIR) on the Financials Home tab of the LP Portal for previous academic years. It's important that you complete any overdue admin tasks to prepare for the new academic year.

It's your responsibility to check that registers are up to date and accurate. Please make sure you've cleared your Change of Circumstance (CoC) worklist. You must also action all suspensions and withdrawals in a timely and accurate manner.

August attendance fixed quarter

Applications for learners on courses continuing into AY 2026/27 will appear on the Attendance Worklist from 1 August. If learners are not in active learning over the summer period, you should leave them as 'Awaiting Confirmation'. You can update this to ‘In Attendance’ when you've verified their return in the autumn term. If learners fail to return in the autumn term, please withdraw back to their last date of attendance of the course.

For learners who are in active learning throughout the summer, please confirm attendance for the August fixed quarter.

We’ll issue a reminder at the start of next month and check confirmations following the August drawdown date.

We’ve recently published the official statistics on ALL paid in England in AY 2025/26.

This document covers the payments made in AY 2025/26 from August 2025 to April 2026. It also includes the figures for the same period in AY 2023/24 and 2023/25 for comparison.
