Preparing for launch

Your learners will only be able to apply once the service launches if you've signed and returned your academic year 2022/23 loans contract to ESFA. Please check that you've done this and the contract is visible on the Learning Provider Portal.

When you issue Learning and Funding Information Letters (LAFILs) to learners, please check that the learning aim is approved for funding in academic year 2022/23. Please let learners know that they can only submit applications once the service launches. We'll mark any applications submitted before this as ineligible.

ESFA has updated the LAFIL template for this year. You can view and download the LAFIL template from GOV.UK.

Learning Provider Portal training in spring 2022

There’s still some availability to register for our training events taking place in May. The training will cover business to business processes and the Learning Provider Portal. There will be a specific focus on the administration of loans, financial reporting and complex interactions.

The training is intended for managers and staff of all approved learning providers. You can register on the SLC Events website. We look forward to seeing you there!

FE Account Manager change – North region

We're pleased to confirm that Craig Baker is the new account manager for the North region. Providers in that region should have already received notification of the change.
