Best Practice – Reversal of Withdrawals

Just a reminder that the reversal of a withdrawal should only be requested in the case of a genuine error. This Change of Circumstance (CoC) notification should not be used to reinstate applications, as this has an impact on the subsequent eligibility of the learner. Instead, the learners should be advised to make a new application.

Enhancements to the Learning Provider Portal

We have added the suspension effective date to the csv export from the Learner Search screen.

You will no longer be able to submit a Suspension Change of Circumstance after the course end date. If you attempt to make the change, you will see the following message:

'It is not possible to suspend this application because the learner has completed their study. For further help please contact our Partner Services Support Desk on 0300 100 0643.'

You will no longer be able to submit a Fee Charged Change of Circumstance to increase the fee after the course end date.

Service Review Forums

The FE Loans Partner Services Management Team facilitated 19 Service Review Forums in January and February, with 296 delegates attending in total.

The agenda included details on statistics and application trends, Learning Provider Portal enhancements, a GDPR update, service standards expectations and compliance, growth requests, data returns and the Learning Provider Portal, incorrect learning aim start and end dates, and SLC engagement. The forums also gave delegates the opportunity to meet other providers, gaining valuable contacts and best practice ideas.

Future Engagement

Thank you to everyone who commented on their preferences at the recent Service Review Forums. We have considered your feedback and intend to trial a new type of engagement in place of the Annual Seminar this year.

We plan to deliver a number of regional half-day events commencing mid-November. Guest speakers are likely to include ESFA and representatives from our SFE processing teams. We are finalising the details and further information will follow later in the year.

Service and GDPR Agreements

If you have not already done so, please ensure that you have signed and returned the GDPR agreement. It is important that this is returned in order for you to retain your access rights to the Learning Provider Portal.

Reminder: Updating Contract Manager Details

Please check that your Contract Manager details on the Learning Provider Portal are correct. You can find these on the Learning Provider Details page. This gives a view of the information we have received from the ESFA for your organisation, including the details of your Contract Manager.
