Advanced Learner Loans Stakeholder Group

The Advanced Learner Loans Stakeholder Group is a joint group between the Department for Education (DfE) and Student Loans Company (SLC). 

The purpose of the group is:

  • To bring external insights and provide expert advice regarding the Advanced Learner Loans Service
  • To provide feedback on service functionality and issues ‘on the ground’
  • To help identify risks and key issues and provide advice regarding mitigating actions in the delivery of the service
  • To provide specialist input into Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), specifically into the SLC’s and NCS’s websites content
  • To suggest future improvements and changes to the service
  • To support and SLC by providing communications channels direct to learners and learning providers
  • To update stakeholders on emerging policy regarding FE Loans and act as an informal channel for gathering feedback.

  • Up to 8 nominated Learning provider representatives from colleges and training organisations
  • Student Loans Company (SLC)
  • Department for Education (DfE)
  • Association of Colleges (AoC)
  • Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP)
  • National Union of Students (NUS)
  • Learning and Work Institute (LWI)

Specialist invitees from sector may attend, depending on agenda.
