Learning Provider Services

We provide administration services to learning providers in support of the Advanced Learner Loan. The Learning Provider Portal is a secure website where the service runs.

The portal will allow you to:

  • view details of learners who have applied for Advanced Learner Loans
  • confirm a learner's ongoing attendance to release payment of their loan
  • complete change of circumstance notifications
  • import information in bulk, for both confirmations of attendance and changes of circumstance
  • make use of a full set of financial reports
  • export data to your own systems

New providers

To access an Advanced Learner Loans facility, you must first be approved on the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).

Once you have UKRLP approval, you then need to get an Advanced Learner Loans facility agreement with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

ESFA only issues these agreements after a formal selection process. They use their weekly Update newsletter to advertise opportunities for new providers.

Once ESFA has approved your organisation, they will send us your contact details. Your FE account manager will then be in touch to arrange your access to the loans system.
