Advanced Learner Loan bulletin - June 2024

Academic year 2024/25 resources

We've updated the Payment and Drawdown calendar for 2024/25 outlining important dates in the cycle. Please share this with colleagues involved in the administration of attendance confirmations.

You can find further useful resources in the guidance section of the LP Services website.

In addition, there are lots of learner facing resources on the SFE Practitioners’ website.

ESFA Advanced Learner Loans funding rules for academic year 2024/25

We’d like to remind you that the ESFA has moved the first performance management review point from September back to October, following provider feedback. To be in scope for a growth award, you will need to have used 75% or more of your loan facility by 17 October. You should use the Loan Facility Details report to monitor usage. This report is updated daily.

Further information about the timelines and criteria for a growth award can be found in the Advanced Learner Loans Funding Rules for 2024 to 2025.

Changing a learner's end date

Please remember that you cannot change a learning aim end date once the date has passed. You must continue to track the learner's details, including the end date, ensuring they are still correct while they are in learning.

Please submit any necessary changes before or by the end date held in the LP Portal.

LP Portal training

We’ve recently completed a round of face-to-face training events aimed at new providers and new staff, as well as those looking for a refresher.

If you missed the training events and would like to arrange a bespoke session, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

We have now published the training slides from these events on the LP Services website.

Housekeeping and security

Please remember to expire the accounts of any users who no longer need access to the system. This helps to maintain the security of the portal and learner data.

You can find more information on how to do this in the Learning Provider Portal user guide.

Partners Support Desk

Our Partners Support Desk is here to help you with any day to day operational questions about individual learners, application processing, payments and system issues.

You can contact the support desk on 0300 100 0643 or by emailing lpservices@slc.co.uk.

To ensure the team are able to deal with your enquiry as quickly as possible, please quote your UKPRN and the learner's Customer Reference Number when contacting the Partners Support Desk. They need this information to authenticate your details and to access the learner account.
